Good Afternoon

Good news for our township! Please see below the key features of the Apollo Bay Harbour Planning Amendment that will benefit the whole community:

• A Development Plan for the harbour precinct must be approved by Council before any development or works can be carried out.
• The draft Development Plan or any significant changes must be put on exhibition for six weeks for public comment.
• All accommodation is prohibited.
• A heated indoor swimming pool and associated facilities such as a health and wellbeing centre are allowed conditional on planning approval.
• While specific height limits are not specified in the Schedule, no development should “…. intrude upon the southern skyline of the harbour precinct as viewed from north of the harbour and the town centre. The height of development should taper down towards the east, in line with the taper of the landscape”.
• Provision of toilet and barbecue facilities.
• Small food and drink premises is permitted.
• Upgrading of road, pedestrian and bicycle access.
• Upgrading of car and boat trailer parking areas.
